My Return to Blogging

My Return to Blogging

I decided to push myself to log into my blogger account and face the actual date of my last post.

Wow… had it seriously been that long?  I had often thought about coming back to blog but not only has life escaped me but every time I  thought of  picking up where I left off, I would feel overwhelmed.  So much has happened since I was writing routinely.  I found a new job, I did some travel, I potty trained Chase…in fact he is 4 years old now so he did a whole lot of growing up!!  We also added a new baby boy to the family …oh and in about 6 months I will officially be a divorcee.  Considering all of this, where would I possibly start?

As the date sat staring back at me, I looked off to the right to see my blog traffic.  The world continued to turn despite my lack of online presence and people were still enjoying my content even though I was no longer contributing to the blogger community.

Originally I began to blog when I started a one year maternity leave after my son Chase was born.  I had more time on my hands and needed a place to release my creativity outside of gluing pom poms and pipe cleaners to egg cartons.  I titled it “Miss. Conception” as the majority of my writing fell under my adventures in uncovering the misconceptions of first time parenting.

My topics ranged from product reviews, and lists to tips on cloth diapering and parenting green.  I also shared my personal experiences from the joys of motherhood to the more challenging moments.

Facing another year of maternity leave with 2 kids home with me everyday and recognizing how much my life has transformed since my last post, I am feeling inspired now to return to blogging and make a fresh change to how I share my writing.

I’ve always had the tendency to box up my creativity so I want to open up that box so I can continue to write even though my priorities in life continue to change and transform.

My old blog is now redirected to my new domain: www.diariesofanatype.com  My old posts will remain but my blog has taken on a whole new look and feel to kick-start my return to blogging.

I will continue to share product reviews, experiences in cloth diapering and parenting but I am very excited to expand my writing to share all things that brings me joy in life including: outdoor adventures, cooking, entertaining, throwing parties, gardening, decorating, organization, kids activities and photo projects.   Soon I will be balancing all of this as a single working mom so that should make for some interesting adventures!  So please join me by email subscribing and sharing my posts as I embark on capturing some of this in my diaries of an a-type!
